Your Nijmegen Photo Exhibition
Finally, after an exciting tour, we are organizing the photo exhibition Your Nijmegen.
It is the result of a process in which newcomers were invited to give their view on Nijmegen.
We are very happy with the result and we invite you to watch it as well.
The exhibition will open on Sunday 12 January 2025 and will be ready to visit until 27 of January. So about 2 weeks.
Visiting the exhibition is a little expedition on itself. Because the photos are showcased on three locations:

Opening day
In early 2025, a group of newcomers and artists explored the public spaces of Nijmegen through the lens of photography.
Their goal was not merely to document the city’s appearance, but to feel it — to sense the rhythm of everyday life and the quiet, often unnoticed interactions that shape it.
The project focused on themes such as visibility, presence, and belonging.
As newcomers, the photographers walked through the city with fresh eyes. They didn’t just capture places and people, but also the emotions and tensions present in public space.
This initiative was developed in collaboration with Dream Agency with Cultureel Centrum de Lindenberg, and with the artistic guidance of workshop facilitator Michiel Heijmans.
It was supported by Kouros Public Fieldwork, a consultancy specializing in creative education and civic engagement .
At the final exhibition, selected works by participants were presented to the public, offering a unique and human perspective on the city of Nijmegen.
The exhibition marked the conclusion of a journey that was both artistic and deeply personal — a path connecting the perspectives of newcomers with the city’s public.
